Chocolate burns calories faster

Good news for chocolate lovers. Latest studies show that people who eat this sweet have a lower weight than those who are skipping it in their diet.

Researchers do not yet have clear scientific explanations why a product that contains sugar and fat could have this effect on the body, but it’s supposed that antioxidants in the chocolate may deliver a metabolic boost that can offset its caloric downside.

Dr Golomb, who initiated the study, says this does not mean that we should eat large amounts of chocolate, moderate consumption is beneficial.

Although this is one of the first studies that directly concern chocolate’s effects on body weight, we already know chocolate has other benefits for the body, like lower blood pressure and cardiovascular risk, improve cholesterol and insulin regulation.
