Chloé Spring/Summer 2013: A French-Chic collection

To celebrate the fashion house’s 60th anniversary, creative director Clare Waight Keller chose to reflect the base idea that founder Gaby Aghion had when she started the Chloé label: the wish to free women from the rigor of haute couture, by adopting an attitude of chic insouciance both towards fashion, and to life.

The Chloé Spring/Summer collection included bold silhouettes, with exaggerated volumes, doubled by a sporty edge. The sweet, feminine looks with frills or appliqués of fabric flowers, were toned down by being paired with wide-fit shorts while the boxier looks were sweetened with transparent fabric inserts.

A collection with a definite air of French chic, created in the spirit of a confident woman who doesn’t take herself or fashion too seriously.
