Chez à la Karl Lagerfeld, in Berlin or Monte Carlo?

Karl Lagerfeld is one of the most overwhelming fashion personalities, maybe the one that could actually, through his mere presence, embody high fashion.

Chanel, Fendi and his very surreal life – artistically complete and dusted with the sparkle of controversies only Karl could have generated – all get a very real contour at Schlosshotel im Grunewald, the Berlin 5 star hotel decorated by Lagerfeld where I wish I could write my Fashion avec Passion pieces.

With prices varying from EUR 239 and EUR 3 000 a night, that would also entail a 5 star pay check, but I do have a feeling that the quality of the articles would reach new heights, under the spell of the divine muse.

Hotel Metropole Karl Lagerfeld

Hotel Métropole in Monte Carlo is the latest of Lagerfeld’s commissions, the pool, terrace, gardens and Joël Robuchon restaurant are all to thrive under his distinctive styling, among which a series of frescoes reminiscent of ancient Olympus. But here I am fairly sure those at Vogue are already writing.

I will still try to pin my hopes and dreams on the Edinburgh Hotel Missoni. Maybe in Missoni Scotland I could at least spend a high fashion holiday to fill my mind with ideas and heart of style!
