Carine Roitfeld – From French Vogue To Her Own Magazine

When Carine Roitfeld announced that she was leaving French Vogue, it was the end of an era, so it is only natural that when she announces the launch of her own magazine, it marks the beginning of a new one.

A muse for Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld, best friends with Mario Testino, famous for her fashion spreads and styling sessions for various ad campaigns commissioned by luxury brands such as Chanel or Givenchy, possibly more famous than the models featured in the pages of the magazine for which she was editor-in-chief through a whole decade, Carine Roitfeld has long established herself as a fashion world’s darling.

Roitfeld’s magazine will appear twice a year starting this September, under the name of „CR Fashion Book”, edited by Fashion Media Group LLC. It will be distributed in the US, Europe and Asia. High-end fashion houses such as Armani, Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton are among the advertisers to catch an ad space among the 100 pages (out of the debut issue’s total of 288) dedicated to promotion.

The magazine will feature long-format articles, running in parallel with a corresponding website containing shorter pieces.

We’re anxiously waiting to find out the stylistic directions that the female embodyment of the Parisian chic style has to offer in her fashion bible.
