They say that if you’ve never been to Florence you don’t really know Italy. And if you’ve never been to Loretta Caponi’s, you don’t know fairytale nor, as a matter of fact, pyjamas!
They might as well be the world’s most expensive pieces of bed wear! I don’t know for sure, I haven’t checked the Guinness Book of Records, but Caponi would sure have many reasons to be listed among the best of the very best.
To start with, Loretta Caponi first learnt embroidering when she was 9 years old. When still very young, she took her artful nightgowns designs to Rome, in what would be the birth of an Italian artisanal legend whose fame would span across the world. Over decades of continuing refining her skill and of staying true to the most precious of materials – silks, wools and cottons – all from her enchanted shop in Florence, she made special order nightwear for Princess Diana, the Kennedys, Kissingers and Rockefellers, as well as for Madonna or Sting.
Absolutely remarkable! As for the latest, of course, hand made collection from Loretta Caponi, it could call for as much as an art exhibition, don’t you think?
