Calcium might help you get rid of the belly fat


If you’re eager to loose some weight, but every time you tried it before you failed in losing fat from your belly, you should know that calcium and vitamin D might help you succeed.

In a study made at Harvard Medical School, 154 volunteers were asked to keep a diet. Half of the group was given daily three cups of orange juice containing 1,050 milligrams of calcium and 300 IU of vitamin D, and the other half drank just plain orange juice, without any supplements in it. After 16 weeks, everybody lost the same amount of weight, but the ones who drank juice with added calcium and vitamin D lost more belly fat.

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, calcium may increase fat burning and reduce the appetite, while vitamin D plays an important role in the metabolism, and many people don’t even know they don’t have enough in their bodies.
