Buy The Glamorous Dresses Donned By Stars, Directly From The Red Carpet At The Met Gala, Via Moda Operandi

Aside from the Fashion Week catwalk shows, red carpet events featuring the crème de la crème of Hollywood stars are annually situated among the most spectacular fashion moments. The premieres of blockbuster flicks, the prestigious award ceremonies and the elite parties celebrating the music and film industries, offer fashion parades that rival even with the most sensational shows from Fashion Week.

The Met Gala, an annual event celebrating the opening of the fashion exhibition at the Costume Institute in New York, gathers year after year, the elite of the cinematic industry, along with that of the fashion industry, in a whirlwind of extravagance and eccentricity. And if up until now, all that fashionistas could do was admire the superbe photographs and greedily eye the live coverage of the event, this year, thanks to the initiative of e-tailer Moda Operandi, the spectacular outfits donned by some of the hottest stars, will be available for purchasing just a short while after their appearance on the red carpet.

Moda Operandi, the e-tailer that revolutionised the concept of online shopping, becoming well-known for its innovative initiatives, such as the possibility of purchasing online clothes directly from the runways, is promising an unlimited edition of a series of outfits that are set to be worn by various stars at the upcoming Met Gala. The dresses, which include Balmain, Nina Ricci, Rodarte, Wes Gordon and Anthony Vacarello designs, among others, will be available as part of the ”Spotlight” project, an initiative that has already made possible the purchase of other red carpet outfits, such as Jennifer Lawrence’s Prabal Gurung dress for the premiere of Hunger Games, the controversial Antonio Berardi dress worn by Gwyneth Paltrow to the premiere of Iron Man 3, as well as a series of outfits worn by Anne Hathaway during her promotional tour for The Dark Knight.

Having said all this, make sure that the evening of the Met Gala (May 6th), catches you clutching not only your TV remote, but your credit card as well, so that you may borrow a bit of red carpet glamour form your favourite movie stars and fashion people.
