Best Of Paris Men’s Fashion Week (IV)

Find out the stylistic directions prepared by designers for the Fall/Winter 2013 season, by staying tuned to the Best Of Paris Menswear Fashion Week series:

Dior Homme

Stepping away from Heidi Slimane’s signature skinny silhouette for Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche imprinted on the Fall/Winter 2013 collection a new vibe – the sporty vibe.

Technical fabrics and special techniques were used to make the clothes, which were given a futuristic edge. Suits of a classic Dior-esque elegance were accentuated by belts and buckles resembling safety belts, buttons were occasionally replaced by zippers and a series of outfits were printed with a graphic symbol representing a triangle inside a circle, which brought a mystical air to the collection.

Ami

For the Ami Men Fall/Winter 2013 collection, Alexandre Mattiusi created an innovative décor: the models stepped one by one in a replica of a subway compartment – one of the designer’s main sources of inspiration for this season, provided by the point of view offered by the hustle and bustle of people during rush hours.

Elegant outfits, such as double-breasted blazers printed with Prince of Wales checks or a herringbone motif were alternated with more casual looks, such as denim pieces or cozy knits.

Hermès

Veronique Nichanian’s show for Hermès maintained the brand’s signature elegant style, to which the designer added an edgy allure: the coats with silver buttons, the classic-cut trousers and cashmere sweaters, were punctuated by a few edgy details, such as s couple of leather pieces (from pants to jackets and even trench coats), or hiker boots with neon laces.

Damir Doma

For the Fall/Winter 2013 season, Damir Doma created an urban collection, in which checks, corduroy and wool perfectly came together to create effortless looks, which the designer alternated with alpine-inspired elements, such as pullovers, ski caps and nylon jackets.
