Best Of Milan Menswear S/S 2013

The Milan menswear fashion shows for next season season have just wrapped up and Fashion avec Passion brings you the best of the Spring/Summer 2013 menswear collections:

Giorgio Armani

Men should really follow Giorgio Armani’s fashion advice, given that the designer’s collection for the Spring/Summer 2013 season perfectly describes the kind of wearable style that is easily adaptable to any situation and that any guy would wish to invest in. The collection featured featherlight suits with tiny subtle geometric patterns, printed shirts, and even leather suits. For the sake of providing alternative visions of certain looks, models were sent down the runway mostly in pairs, and the show even finished with a group of all-white clad models, so that every man can easily decide which look better suits his style.

Dsquared2

The Dsquared man definitely isn’t afraid to accessorize his outfits come spring. The Caten brothers unveiled a collection of simple silhouettes, brought to like by infusions of denim, leather, leopard prints and lots of accessories: chains, gold padlocks, motorbike boots and leather paperboy caps. A collection full of sex appeal, for the daring man.

Emporio Armani

“A new concept in impeccable elegance that is the embodiment of freshness and decorum, with a hint of aristocracy” – the Emporio Armani collection featured lots of layers: trench coats paired with shorts and striped jumpers, shirts teamed with ponchos, blazers and leather jackets over jersey tops. All in all, an effortless look for the youthful man, who enjoys braving the outdoors in style.

Burberry Prorsum

Cristopher Bailey must have really enjoyed the neon trend, because with his Spring/Summer 2013, he’s taken it a step forward: each look had a hint of bright colour, but in the form of metallics. Blue collars, electric fuchsia trench coats, bright orange bomber jackets, along with a myriad shirts in each colour of the rainbow, all in ultra-intense metallic shades, that lit up the runway. A fun and youthful collection, for the guy who isn’t afraid to stand out.

Dolce & Gabbana

Domenico & Stefano dared to replace the usual six-pack male models with a cast of all-Sicilian real men, and it worked out for the best, as the high-waisted shorts paired with shirts covered in frescoes, the gondolier-like horizontal stripes in red, blue, white and terracotta that spread both on shirts and on trousers, as well as the sharp suits in light cotton and silk, couldn’t have looked any better than paraded by a bunch of rugged Italian men.

Gucci

Frida Giannini celebrated the power of colour with her Spring/Summer 2013 collection. A bright, ultra-summery show featuring lime green, saffron yellow, fiery red, fierce tangerine, electric blue and intense green. Super slim trousers, crisp suits, floral motifs on shirts and pants – the perfect wardrobe for a veritable Italian holiday.

Calvin Klein

The Calvin Klein man isn’t afraid to wear florals, flowery prints being a recurring element within the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Found on both shirts and pants, the womenswear-inspired motif looked anything but female, softening the outfits for a youthful summery look.

Versace

Watch out, the gladiators are back! Golden Greek key borders, calf-high sandals and golden boxing belts came together in an opulent collection. Flashes of gold punctuated each outfit, paired with white, black, grey, bronze, metallic hues and even a few floral prints, to a stunningly luxurious effect.
