Baroque With A Touch Of Rock In Zuhair Murad’s Collection

Presented at the Hôtel de Crillon off the calendar, during Paris Fashion Week, Zuhair Murad’s Prêt-à-porter collection aimed towards the glamour feel of the designer’s Haute Couture creations.

“Edwardian and baroque, with a touch of rock”, the outfits had an opulent feel, almost couture-like. The fragility of Chantilly lace was mixed together with the delicate touch of tulle to create a blouse that was paired with a pair of slim golden trousers.

Also remarkable were a series of cocktail dresses adorned with feathers and sequins, as were the floor-length evening gowns with provocative slits, down the torso, as well as down the length of the leg.

Black pearl appliqués, brocade and fluid fabrics brought a boost of romance and femininity to an already elegant collection.
