Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing Brings 90s Sexy Back At PFW

Starting with a few seasons ago, designer Olivier Rousteing, creative director for Balmain, showcased his admiration for sexy silhouettes.

For the Spring/Summer 2013 season, Rousteing’s show brought to attention the sensuality of the 90s, when supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington or Naomi Campbell dominated the runways, while famous photographers, like Peter Lindbergh or Steven Meisel, couldn’t get enough of them and their seductiveness.

Rousteing’s vision of the reinterpreted 90s featured ultra-sexy sulhouettes, with bold prints, exaggerated forms and accentuated shoulders. The boxy jackets, in soft leather or with crystal appliqués, were paired with boustier tops, short dresses had sexy cutouts along the bust and arms, while skinny jeans rivaled with tailored pants, in the race for most-wanted by fashionistas worldwide.

A seductive collection, just like 90s fashion, for the confident woman who isn’t afraid to showcase her sex-appeal.
