Before a fashion show, the behind-the-curtains atmosphere is even more frantic than inside the backstage of the Bolshoi Theatre, even more frenzied than the preparations before a show at Lincoln Center, even more lively than at the Sydney Opera ans even more animated than at the Vienna Staatsoper.
Fashion photographer Crain McDean has captured the sweet frenetic to and fro of the backstage in the new Emporio Armani campaign for Fall 2013. Sophisticated silhouettes in precious fabrics such as velvet, fur or silk, echoing the ultimate elegance of the Thirties, have been immortalised in various states, from outfit try-ons to camera-ready looks. The deep somptuous tones and rich textures blend together to form a gracious carrousel of glamourous silhouettes.
