Autumnal Atmosphere In The Mulberry Fall/Winter 2013 Show

The Mulberry collection for the Fall/Winter 2013 season focused on outerwear pieces, rendered in checks, plaid or leather. Hand sewn knits, tweed and mohair were alternated on the runway with all-leather looks. A recurring element within the collection was the overlapping of skirts over pants, a look specific to the 90s aesthetic, which Emma Hill, the label’s creative director, successfully revived.

A hint of luxury made its way into the show, in the form of sheepskin details, straightened to look exactly like real fur, adorning collars and oversize sleeves. The mostly dark chromatic palette, featuring autumnal shades such as oxblood, deep browns and dark greens, offered the collection an extra dose of sophistication.
