Architectural Silhouettes In The Bottega Veneta F/W 2013 Show

In an excellent exercise of construction, Tomas Maier manipulated wool and flannel, producing a collection of architectural silhouettes, with a distinctly rigorous allure and a subtle retro vibe.

Sculptural shoulders, three-dimensional pleats adorning waistlines, high collars, sculpted hips and craftily executed drapings translated into a show in which the refinement of the rigid silhouettes was doubled by a powerful dose of femininity.

The nighttime looks were treated with in same precise manner of construction, with satin manipulated into various pleats and drapings embellished with glamorous embroidery.
