Androgynous Silhouettes And Metallic Shine: Paco Rabanne F/W 2013 At PFW

Having as inspiration the chic androgynous style of the iconic Françoise Hardy, a hardcore fan of Paco Rabanne’s designs for decades now, and adding a dash of aviation influence, Lydia Maurer created for the Fall/Winter 2013 season, a collection in which the label’s signature elements were brought into present time, modernised, and infused with a dose of freshness.

Coats and jackets reminiscent of pilots’ uniforms came alongside Mod looks, circa 1960s – short, straight-cut dresses, fashioned out of chainmail, a trademark of the brand. Chainmail was also featured in the show’s finale, where it was fused with delicate lace, to create a series of ultra-sexy looks with boudoir allure.
