The patterns, the textures, the shapes… Femininity and experimentalism, refinement and the exuberant imagery of Jackson Pollock, minimalism and python leather are not your usual associations. But Sportmax fall-winter 2014/2015 brings them all together in a fusion at once revolutionary and elegant.
The collection shown by the Italian label at Milan Fashion Week puts forward a contained approach, with contours barely varying within the lines of an austere tailoring. To only then bring in the visual richness of colours saturated to shine – red, brown and caramel – exotic skins effects, leopard spots and modern prints that fill the Sportmax creations with play and meaning, just like in an expressionist painting.
