7 tips for a frizz-free hair

Autumn and winter are damaging for the hair, because of the low temperatures and humid air. In this period, you need to pay more attention to the way you’re spoiling your hair. Here are some tips that will help you mentain  a frizz-free hair:

1. Don’t wash your hair very often. If your hair gets greasy fast, use a dry shampoo between washes. Hairstylist Nathaniel Hawkins says, “The natural oils that accumulate are good frizz fighters.”

2. Use a deep conditioner every time you wash, and make sure you leave it in the hair for at least three minutes. Hair gets frizzy when it’s very dry, and it sucks up the moisture in the air.

3. Don’t dry your hair with the towel. It makes the cuticles rough and it will look frizzy. Instead, pat it very softly with an absorbent towel, just to get the water out of your hair.

4. Always use a heat-protecting spray before using the blow dryer, flat or curling iron. Heat damages hair and makes it frizzy.

5. Choose an ionic blow dryer, instead of a regular one. It compresses the cuticles and reduces frizz.

6. Apply a silicone serum on wet hair, then style it as usual. Silicone covers each piece of hair and smoothes the cuticle.

7. Forget about styling products with alcohol, which are present in most of the hair sprays. They irritate and dry the hair. Instead, opt for an alcohol free shine spray.
