4 tips that you need to apply during cold weather

Tired to have the same problems with the skin during the cold months? Maybe you didn’t applied these tips in your daily routine:

1. Switch to a different moisturizer

You don’t have to ask yourself why is your skin dehydrated if you’re using the same moisturizer like in the summertime. Now it’s time to change your light cream or serum to a hydrating or nutritive cream.  You can also choose natural oils, or products that contain Shea or cocoa butter.

2. Invest in a humidifier

You’ve noticed how dry your skin gets when the weather is cold. This is because of the low temperatures, but also due to the extreme temperature changes. Sleeping with a radiator in your room, or at very high temperatures, it’s not good either. Use a humidifier in the room to help your skin reabsorb some of the moisture it loses.

3. Add some fats in your diet

Nobody says you have to eat greasy foods during fall and winter, but it helps to add some good fats in your meals. Avocado, olive oil, nuts and almonds help you incorporate healthy nutrients, and your skin will be hydrated from inside out.

4.Exfoliate less

Exfoliation is good for the skin, but in the wintertime it is better to exfoliate just once a week, instead of twice. This is because skin becomes more sensitive, even if your skin isn’t particularly sensitive. Also, the natural oils that the body produces are good for the skin, and it’s better not to ward them off.
